Hola! I arrived in Nicoya, Costa Rica yesterday. This place is amazing. I'm staying with a family who has a son in 8th grade, Alvaro. None of them speak English, which is good in a way.. The main highway is tiny compared to our main highways. It was quite a journey to get there, the two lane road. When we first got there, the principal of the school Eupi showed us to her house, where my mom would be staying. Then, we went to Alvaro's house. At the school Eupi, the principal introduced us ( me and my cousin Danny ) to most of the classroom's, then we volunteered in the little kids classroom. When we got back to Alvaro's house, we went to his farm, which was very tropical. He has mango, pinneaple, and avacado trees. Also, pigs, ducks, chickens, and horses. Danny and I road the horse also. There were also wild monkeys in the trees. Then, we went home and to bed because we were really tired from the plane ride. Then today, we woke up at 6:15 to go volunteer in the school, first we went with the little kids. But, decided to stay with the older kids. I went in the 9th grade classroom, and Danny went in the 8th grade. Isn't that saying something?? Just kidding, he was in Alvaro's room, and I was in Pilar's (The girl I'm going to stay with later) It was so fun being in their classroom because all of the girls came up to me, saying hello and writing me notes saying they wanted me to come to their house and hang out! They were all so nice, but it was hard for me to understand them. I really enjoy Pilar and all of her friends. No, I have not run yet, I mean really, how can I when I get to hang out spanish speakers for three weeks! Lastly, the principal took us to Samara to eat lunch, and go visit the beach. I did take pictures, but don't have time today to up today, but I'll make sure to soon.
Well, voy a la casa de Pilar, adios!
